TATTOO POWDER BROWS
Permanent Make-Up
My technique aims to give you natural looking brows. I want you to have brows that age well with you over time and fit your features for the softest, most natural look. Powder brows are great on all ages and all skin types. This technique is done with a rotary tattoo machine and a single needle. I will tattoo the pigment into the skin by creating pixels of the desired color, which will give the effect of soft powder/makeup on your brows once healed. The tattoo sits in the skin behind your brow hairs, and I try to retain most, if not all, of your natural brow hair in the shape and it will not damage your natural brow hairs. Your brows will have dimension and definition and will look soft and natural once healed. This method does not go as deep into the dermis as a traditional tattoo so they will fade over time and require touchups. However, with proper aftercare, your brows should last about 1-3 years before you need a touch up.
I do not offer manual microblading and I do not offer nano brows (machine hairstrokes). I am happy to discuss the differences if you have questions.
AM I THE ARTIST FOR YOU?
- You have seen my healed work and feel that my work style matches your brow goals. I do soft and natural, not bold, harsh and oversaturated. If you follow me on social media, 99% of my photos show healed work so you can see how your brows will age.
- You understand that this is a 2 step process that you must trust. Expecting perfection after the first session is not realistic. Some clients heal near perfect after one session. Others will require a bit more work at the second session.
- You understand that prep before your appointments and following aftercare are your responsibility and can affect the healed outcome.
- You are realistic with expectations. Our faces are not a perfectly symmetrical flat sheet of paper. We are a living, moving canvas! We are working with bone structure, muscle pulls, sometimes significant wrinkles and asymmetries. Hair growth may differ on each of your brows. Your skin may be very sensitive, very thin, very textured, sun damaged, etc. My goal is to balance your natural features as best I can and enhance what you have. Not force perfect symmetry. If you have a strong muscle pull on one brow, you will STILL have that even after we tattoo! I always want you to look like YOU when your brows are healed.
- You understand that makeup sits on top of the skin whereas a tattoo will be healed in the skin and will always look a bit more muted. If you want a bolder look on occasion, you may still choose to add a little makeup to your brows once they are healed and that is completely fine. Going bolder and darker with the tattoo (when that doesn't fit your skin or features) will not age well.
TOUCH UPS
About 6 weeks after the initial appointment, you will have your first touch-up. During this session, I will do any needed corrections to your brows (adjust shape, color, fading, etc.) Your brows are not complete until this touchup is done! We cannot predict how your skin will heal or retain the pigment after the first session so that is why the touchup is required. I always start conservative (lighter and softer) at your first session so that we can build at that touchup. This is to ensure that we do not oversaturate the skin and helps me maintain better control over the outcome. You MUST trust the process and understand the brows are not complete until healed after this touchup. Occasionally, on difficult skin, a third session may be needed to get to the desired result.
Future touch-ups and how often you schedule them depends on several factors, but most people opt for a touch-up every 1-3 years to refresh the color and redefine the shape and fill.
TATTOO REMOVAL/LIGHTENING
This procedure allows me to lift and lighten bad or unwanted brow tattoos or microblading. Generally, this is due to oversaturation and/or discolored brows. Reach out to me for detailed information on the different removal options or to schedule a consultation.

FAQ
ARE YOU CERTIFIED?
Yes! I have been tattooing brows since late 2021. With time comes experience... but I am 3x certified for Powder Brow Tattoo and the salon where I am located is licensed for tattooing by the Health Department! I am also certified in LiFT Saline Removal. I have certification in Blood Borne Pathogens and Basic First Aid as deemed necessary for tattoo artists by OSHA.
WHY ARE DEPOSITS NONREFUNDABLE AND WHY
ARE THERE CANCELLATION FEES?
Deposits hold your spot for the time that you agreed to book for. When clients cancel, reschedule or don't show, they have held a spot where I could have potentially booked another client. That being said, I do understand emergencies can arise and I will determine at that time.
DO I NEED TO TWEEZE OR WAX MY BROWS PRIOR?
No. I will clean them up at your appointment if needed, when we are mapping the shape. I DO NOT shave off your eyebrows! Every attempt is made to retain most, if not all, of your natural hair and integrate it into the design of your new brows. Once healed, you can resume with any tweezing, threading or waxing as normal.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Pain tolerance varies by client, but 99% of my clients say they don't feel much pain or discomfort. I do use topical numbing but cannot guarantee anyone’s reaction to the numbing agent. That being said, I have had several clients fall asleep. I always try to ensure you are as comfortable as possible!
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR POWDER BROWS AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The process takes approximately 3 hours from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. We will spend the first hour or so discussing your brow goals and then designing the shape of your new brows. Sending me a picture in advance of your bare brows and also of how you apply makeup on your brows is helpful. Once you approve the shape, you will fill out all paperwork. I will choose a pigment that blends with your natural brow hair color and we will begin the tattooing. Please be realistic with your expectations! Your brows are not considered complete until you return 6-8 weeks later for a touch up to make any adjustments. There’s no downtime but some clients will have slight redness and irritation around the area which is very normal and will subside within a couple hours. Most clients can go on about their normal day after their appointment.
WILL THIS LOOK GOOD IF I AM OLDER OR HAVE MATURE SKIN?
If you are over the age of 55, I will need to see a clear photo of your brows/skin before booking. This does not mean you are "too old". It simply means as we age our skin gets thinner and no matter how gentle my tattoo pressure is, there is a greater risk for inconsistent healed results. While I want to give you great brows, I also want you to have great healed results.
HOW LONG WILL MY BROWS LAST AND WHY DO I NEED TOUCH UPS?
With proper aftercare, your brows should last 1-3 years after the initial touchup. However, results will vary for each client and for some, the fading happens sooner than others. The pigment is formulated with a fade factor and this technique does not go as deep into the dermis as a traditional tattoo. In addition, certain factors can play a role in this, such as sun exposure, how your skin retains pigment, skin treatments, harsh products, skin type, smoking, diet, health conditions, etc. Touch ups will vary based on your personal preference and retention. SPF is ALWAYS important on your brows and entire face in general.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN YOUR PRICING?
There is a lot that goes into pricing. You are paying for something on your face! You do not want a bargain for this! Think of it as an annual (or longer, depending on how often you need a touch up) investment just as you would your recurring hair appointments, manis/pedis, facials, lashes, etc. The session price includes your first appointment (2-3 hours), the initial touchup 6-8 weeks later (1-2 hours), and aftercare products. Behind the scenes I invest in quality supplies, premium pigments, ongoing training, insurance, rental of my space, advertising, strict sanitation standards, etc. I have priced the service to what I feel is fair and reasonable and comparable to industry standards.
WHAT IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
I will say this many times-trust the process! Your new brows will appear darker, wider, and crisper than the way they will look once healed. This is sometimes hard for clients the first few days, especially if you didn't have much brow hair to begin with. Clients will often notice any asymmetry immediately following as things that have always been a part of your face (slight brow imbalance, slight eye imbalance, stronger muscle pull on one side of face, etc.) will stand out more to you as you are now seeing a bolder brow than you have had before. I do my best to balance your brows if they are uneven, but please be realistic with expectations. Brows will start flaking within the week and lighten significantly-up to 30%. The healing process can take on average about 10-14 days. You will be given detailed after care instructions and what to expect during healing. It is important to follow these so that your brows retain pigment and heal as we want them to. That being said, everyone will heal a little differently which is why the initial touchup is important. Your brows are not complete until this touchup is done! We cannot predict how your skin will heal or retain the pigment after the first session so that is why the touchup is required.
WILL IT LOOK NATURAL?
I prefer a more natural look that follows your actual brow shape and natural hair growth over a harsh outline and stiff shape, so it is my tendency to lean towards that. However, each client has different preferences, and we will spend the time to ensure you are getting the end result you want. In general, the powder brow technique gives the brows dimension and softness and heals very natural.
DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR WORK?
Unfortunately, I can not. Everyone's skin may react differently and many factors play a role in your results long term. That being said, I always try my best to ensure we are both completely satisfied with your end result!
CAN YOU PROVIDE A LIST OF INGREDIENTS FOR THE PRODUCTS YOU USE?
If you have any questions regarding ingredients in any of the pigment, numbing agents, cleansing, after care etc., please reach out to me directly before booking your appointment. If you are concerned with allergies, we can also do a patch test.
DO YOU OFFER BROW CORRECTION/REMOVAL?
Yes. I offer both correction work (if possible) and removal/lightening. However, for any correction or removal service, I will need to see photos of your brows and consult with you prior to booking. If prior work is too dark or too saturated or shape cannot be tweaked, then I will recommend laser removal first.
CAN I WEAR MAKE UP TO THE APPOINTMENT?
Before and after photos will be taken so if you feel more comfortable with makeup, feel free to wear it. However, during the procedure any makeup up on the brows, forehead, and eyelids will be wiped off and you may be red immediately following. In addition, you will not touch your brows AT ALL for the first 24 hours.
DO YOU OFFER FREE CONSULTATION APPOINTMENTS?
I do! You can reach out to schedule a 30 minute consult, or you can message me any questions prior to booking. It is also helpful if you send me pictures as well...of your bare brows and as you wear them with makeup. On the day of your initial session, we will spend about an hour discussing your brow goals and mapping your shape before we proceed with the tattooing. My website covers most questions and photos of my work can be found on my social media pages.
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE IT?
The end goal is for you to be 100% satisfied and I will always do my best to ensure that outcome for you. While the pigment will fade over time, this is still a tattoo and considered permanent. There are no guarantees as to how soon/much you will fade so please be sure that you are committed before you make the decision to have this done. In addition, we always have the option to try a removal technique.
